Publish on Wednesday, 10 February 2016 in Events
As winter softens into the fine days of spring, Paris invites you to check out the trade fairs for which the city is famous. As every year, the programme looks varied and full of quality. The Hotel Convention Montparnasse suggests you try the Agriculture Show as well as the World Tourism Fair to discover two very different but equally exciting worlds.
A virtual walk in the countryside at the Agricultural Show
From February 27th to March 6th, the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles offers an experience suitable for the entire family when the International Agricultural Show arrives for its 53rd edition. The ten days of this world-renowned trade fair feature more than 4,000 farm animals, which for many are the real stars of the event! You’ll also have the opportunity to discover the exquisite products of French vineyards, taste delicious regional products and meet the event’s beautiful mascot. The programme also includes various competitions, including the star attraction of the show, the famous General Agricultural Competition that brings together the elite of French livestock breeding. There’s also plenty of workshops, quizzes and exhibitions designed to keep the kids happy for hours. You’ll find all the attractions in pavilions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7, accessible through gates A, B or F.
Make your destination the World Tourism Exhibition
Planning an outing, a relaxing weekend, or a family holiday? Want to discover the hottest locations, or places off the beaten track? Then don’t miss the Salon Mondial du Tourisme, also at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, from March 17th to 20th. Bringing professionals from the tourism and travel sectors together with people who are interested in seeing the world, this 41st edition of the immensely popular trade fair offers a wide range of themed areas, including one featuring games and entertainment for the kids. Whether you enjoy a glamorous cruise, the fun and comfort of glamping, roughing it in the great outdoors or simply want to see what’s on offer, this is the event for you.
